Privacy and safety
We Voted. Now Act. is an independent civic information website. Public browsing, official resource links and free letter tools do not require an account. Last reviewed: November 5, 2026.
What happens to a draft
Letter text, optional sender details, drawn or typed signatures and imported CSV files are processed in this browser session. This website does not upload them, save them in browser storage, or include them in share links. Reloading or closing the page clears the website’s working draft; your browser may separately retain form history. Downloads, clipboard contents and files you save remain on your device until you remove them.
Print-ready files may include the address and signature you choose. Review them and store or delete them carefully. Using “Open email draft” hands the text to your chosen mail app; it does not send the message. Pasting into an official contact form transfers the text to that service when you choose to submit. Those services have their own privacy policies.
Hosting and external services
The public site uses Cloudflare hosting. Delivering a web page necessarily sends request information such as an IP address and browser headers to the hosting provider. Cloudflare may process security and operational request data under its policies. We do not add advertising trackers, analytics scripts, member profiling or location detection. External links and calendar/share services receive information under their own policies when you choose to open them. Cloudflare privacy policy ↗
Accounts and paid services are unavailable
The public release does not create accounts, accept poll votes or comments, collect email subscriptions or phone numbers, process payments, or place mail or merchandise orders. No payment card details belong in the letter builder.
Before a private member beta opens, its privacy notice must identify the operator and support contact, explain retention and deletion/export requests, list processors and security limits, and document recovery and moderation appeals. Registration must require a verified, single-use email magic link followed by Twilio Verify SMS verification, then an approved unique public username and explicit consent. Verification will establish an account, not prove a unique human or government voter status. No registration form is active here.
Keep correspondence safe
Do not enter passwords, sensitive health information, intimate images or private contact details belonging to others. Use public official contacts. Never impersonate a constituent, sign for someone else without authorization, or publish another person’s identifying information without consent.
Corrections and accessibility
Use the issuing authority’s current website to check officeholders, contact details and legal procedures. This release does not provide a staffed support inbox; a verified support and privacy contact is required before account services open. A typed signature is available as an alternative to drawing. All letter content remains yours to review and edit.
